Speakers of this year's event included:
- Rick Brown, President of the Pioneer Valley AFL-CIO, acted as emcee.
- Frank Rossi, President Teamsters Local 404, welcomed participants to the conference and talked about Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy in relation to today's labor movement.
- John Bennett, Mass. Senior Action, encouraged participation in a fight to stop looming cuts to the PVTA services and proposed rate hikes
- Charlie Casartello, an attorney from Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan & Blakesley, P. C.
- Charlie Richardson, from the UMass Lowell Labor Extension Program, and his wife Nancy Lessin, from the United Steel Workers, gave a presentation about the changing workplace and how it affects a union's ability to represent its workers.
- Terry Coles, a labor attorney with Pyle, Rome, Ehrenberg, shared his advice on recent important trends in arbitration.
- Steve Dondley, Recording Secretary and owner of Prometheus Labor Communications, encouraged unions to take advantage of social media tools to win mindshare of members and the community.
The event was immediately followed by the annual Workers' Memorial Day Ceremony. The Pioneer Valley AFL-CIO wishes to thank all those who attended and participated.
